It’s 5:10 PM, July 24th, 2008!!!! TSheets TIME!!!

Back a few entries ago I mentioned my photoshoot for the time tracking contest mentioned at Fuelmyblog…well, not mentioned, released cause it’s THEIR baby…between them and Tsheets.

Did I cover everything there?

Originally I’d had another person do the photography, but ended up the person had a software glitch. That being said, I DID manage to get a few shots off with my PDA.

As I mentioned in the prior post, I was stalking women. Women getting undressed. Not your ordinary women either. Members of the ROAR, the cheerleaders for Jacksonville Jaguars football team!

When I stalk, I stalk major. Be afraid.

This occurred at exactly the time I demanded the ladies reflect with their hands. One showing the hour, and the other with the minutes. The short one on their left, your right, is my daughter Nancy.

What was going on at the time was an orientation for Honor Rows, a program run by the Jaguar Foundation, the football team’s non profit agency. Honor Rows engages young children directly through mentoring programs. After successfully attaining certain goals in education and personal fitness, the children are rewarded with admission to an upcoming game at the Jaguar’s home stadium here in Jacksonville.

During the game they are recognized by the entire stadium, greeted by the team owner, provided a lunch, visited by the team’s mascot, and led in cheering by some of the ROAR cheerleaders themselves. I’ve had the chance of chaperoning two of the last years, and am really pleased with both the participation and the outcome of all the participants: children, mentors, and parents alike.

At the moment of this picture both the parents and children signed off on forms to agree to attain their goals. Off site goals for our children included ongoing participation with their local church in homeless outreach every other Saturday afternoon.

For me…that’s what kind of stuff I do at 5:10. Mundane fatherhood stuff, but looking at the scenery…ya gotta admit it’s pretty cool.

Thanks for reading this and the chance to enter, Kevin and TSheets! It’s 5:10 as I write this at the moment…what are YOU doing?
