Me

I only check it once every three days now, instead of hours.  Bruce Lee taught me that learning is only part of the path.  To ‘be’ requires fluid reaction without thought, rather than stagnating on the mechanical process learned.

Bruce died perfect.  I suck, so I’m still alive.  I’m not sure I want to become perfect.  But I like using Bruce for whatever I can.

He’d appreciate that if he were alive.  He’d have to, if he were alive and killed me, I’d be perfect…him not…and he wouldn’t have anything to do with admitting JohnC was perfect compared to him.

MS Office 2010 Beta had a recent ‘hiccup’ with it’s regular downloading of updates to the software.  I found five minutes ago after rebooting my computer and launching Outlook 2010 Beta that it ‘unbranded’ itself, then asking for mail configuration info.

MS OneNote 2010 Beta did likewise.  The good thing is that this version of OneNote automatically finds your OneNote folder and all such are immediately placed in the nav bar on the left, so it’s a matter of just deleting the default created ‘n00b’ Folder.

I did a quick check of the built in ‘Help’ (online), it’s wording scaring me.

mailA quick check of my Control Panel in Vista realized my concern was geniune.

There’s now a “Mail(Virtual)” icon I don’t recall there prior.  Setup of manual configuation there is no different than when I referenced prior, so I’m not sure if this is plugging into the Outlook program or Outlook accesses this…if it was there prior visible, invisible, the thing scares me.

It’s called Windows because it’s made to be broken.

Let’s just hope the next few updates to the software aren’t as filled with surprises.  Hackers and crackers for years have learned the patience of reimaging, reinstalling, and reconfiguring data files.  While I’ve got ‘free reign’ to play with this until October 2010, I do have genuine concern for the masses that fall into comfort zones resulting in loss of major data.

It’s so much better when the world’s run my way.
