I’m ditching Microsoft Office. I just considered buying and going totally legit.
I remember the day ALL MS Suite items came in the same box. To get One Note and Outlook, you gotta buy two seperate SUITES from the Microsoft store!
I’m in the process of installing Evolution, an open source program for Windows that originally was exclusive to the Linux community. For the next month, I’ll migrate each mail account gradually over, then before Christmas finger Bill Gates.
After that, I’ll probably go take all the tiles of MS disks and CDs I have and make a bonfire on New Years Eve.
Mr Gates loves fingers ……….
That, he does. In an afternote, I do move quick, it turns out Evolution isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Since the original post, I’ve installed copies of Thunderbird on all boxes/books, did the Lightning add on for calendar/tasks, imported/exported, and happy to say the only thing going to my lap/netbook is spam from a catch all.
But I’m still in a pickle as how to handle notes on a PDA…which was my original problem last year…getting me involved with MS One Note.
I still can’t understand why they had to split the suite so badly! WAHHHH!
