deskA little bit of this, a little bit of that.  So far the office is coming around, except for a major issue of my scanner/printer not showing up in Windows…and the 138M file from HP corrupting constantly.

The equipment (sans netbook) dates back up to 8 years, the keyboard from my old e-Machine box.   Running Ubuntu/WinXP on the right monitor/tower, and Mint/Vista on the netbook/monitor on the right. I have NO horse supplies for barnyard animals to be fed at my desk either!

Obviously the pile in my ‘In’ box to the left needs an upgrade.  Caffeine and tobacco placed readily in reach for ergonomic efficiency.

So far Ubuntu has a hard time with my Bluetooth, something I wanted for the base tower since it’s acting as my ‘phone’ through Skype.  If Mint 7 on the netbook runs on my BT earpiece, then I’ll probably ditch Ubuntu and go Linux Mint totally.

Now if I could find a cheap way of handling FAXs over the internet, I’ll be set.  I’m considering a phone line ONLY for that reason…hateful.  Other than a ‘hard’ phone line service, do you know of a way to send Faxes that is low cost?
