FTC trying to control monetized blogging: I commented on Businessweek.com

freakIf you haven’t heard, the Federal Trade Commission came down on bloggers.

But just how do they plan on dealing with bloggers with server space hosting their sites outside of the United States?  Hmmmm?

Translation: Doubtful the could.

Oh, you can say it’s just like getting caught playing Poker online to offshore sites…but there’s a workaround.

Email your post to someone outside the United States, and have them post to your server elsewhere.  Do you really think courts in other countries would honor requests for searches or seizures that are legal protected rights of publication in respective countries servers physically are located in?

This is enough of a reason that I’m emailing my server host to consider offering front end service abroad using back end service outside the United States as soon as possible.

…or lose my business.

…Life Onwards.
